Red Lodge has a green run called Miami Beach that has its own separate double lift. It is kinda the designated beginners run. They have a few other easy runs as well.

[A late] thanks for the definitions, Dave. The 'falling leaf' technique is a good term, and the action itself is a natural one. One of my first times on a black diamond run (I had no idea how flippin' hard one of these is for a beginner), I just natuarally did this to avoid speeding too quickly. The run took almost an hour! Now I look back and think of how it can be an important way to learn your edge and speed control. Plus, it helps when you get stuck in those damned moguls! I still 'leaf turn' when those are on the path before me
