Darn Poo-Tube! They removed the vid...is this about split-boarding? There was an article about it in the New York Times recently, and they mentioned a boardshop in Bozeman, giving them credit for early support of the equipment. Yay Montana! :snowboarder:

Ahh that sucks...

It was just a stupid funny video about these guys that were literally cross country snowboarding ie they were just pushing forward with their feet on a regular board with their feet strapped in.

Wait I did a search on youtube and found it:

But anyway... about that shop in Bozeman, I think you're referring to Spark R&D - they make awesome splitboard specific bindings. I just got a pair of them a few weeks ago and I'm loving them, I'm writing a review on them for the site although I may wait to post it until we're launching the new snowboardmontana website later this year.

   That is f'ing funny stuff!! Thank you for making me laugh so hard! The best part is going through the same thing back in 1994 up at Red Mountain...we were there in spring and it was raining at the base (the top was getting some magnificent pow). There's this massive cat track from Boulder Mt. around the backside that takes about 45 min. to get down on a good day, but we wound up Cross-boarding for 20 min. It was annoying, but this vid makes me love the experience now :D Glad you found it! I want one of those rediculous red outfits now... :P

Well, I do wear a red union suit when out on the slopes. Butt-flap and everything, though it's called "underwear" for a reason and you don't want to see a picture  Are they wearing racing spandex or something? Totally perfect for cross country snowboarding with all that need for aerodynamics. I'm still dying everytime I think of this vid  "You know, we gotta go in to the chalet and drop a duece or do a one-ease, we're doing it with our boards strapped on our feet..." OMG, this is choice!

Who are these guys anyway? Looks Iike one's name is Joel Warren and the other is Tate Evans. Hope they have more videos. I'm cryin'! The Skootchline Blunt is CRAZY! :D Found this http://www.backcountry.com/store/newsletter/a836/Lame-or-Fame.html There's some funny writing, and now I'm gonna check out this "storm snowboard" thing...and WTF with the 'Glowboardz'? My earliest snowboard (standing on a big flat red sled) seems way more ingenious than some of this stuff...

Okay, just watched the promo vid for the Storm Snowboard. I would call this invention a "snow bored".

Myth; you need to move faster than 6 mph to enjoy the slopes, or turn to get around where you want to, besides right into a tree or boulder. *insert heavy metal guitar riff*

Wow! One can simply leap high in the air and land on the board to do a fancy-fun trick! Plus you can flap your arms wildly while trying to keep balance, enhancing the gracefulness of your experience. Bindings and boots are a thing of the past! Sail from the slopes right into the emergency room, sporting your new twisted ankles thanks to the Storm Snowboard!

I also love the endorsement from the dumb blond. She really convinced me to throw-down some cash for this miracle product. "Like, I hate those snowboard boots. Tee-hee!" *boob-shake*

If you haven't seen the clip, you must watch it PRONTO! I can't believe this is real...

So did you go out and buy one of these gems? The Storm is still on my mind. That 'brake' is insane. Sliding on a snow shovel looks like more fun...or a skateboard with no trucks and wheels...

Hehe yeah I can't wait to get one of those .. NOT ! I wonder about those gps goggles though, I'm a sucker for tech gadgets and I like to play around with my gps especially when riding in the backcountry so I can see where I rode on google earth afterwards :)

I know what you mean...it sounds all James Bond-ish. I was wondering when someone would do something like this. Let me know what you think of them...I hope that someday cars will have LCD windshield glass with touch-screen so one can use GPS etc. like an HUD while driving. It might be a little distracting, but it seems so practical. Plus more James Bond-ishness!! 8)
